How do I post a job?
To post a job, simply complete our online quote request page providing as much detail as you can in the fields provided. This will ensure that your request is dealt with efficiently and allow potential trades and businesses to quote accurately for the work you require.
How do I receive quotes?
Upon receipt of your online quote request, we’ll send it out to appropriate trade or business contacts we have on our database and any interested party will then send a quote directly to you using the email address you have provided.
Am I getting a quote or estimate?
This is entirely down to the business that responds to you and may depend on the type of service they provide. Jersey Quote brings people and businesses together but any agreement to undertake the work is made directly between the two, so whilst we prompt all our business to be clear whether they are providing a fixed price or estimate, we highly recommend our customers clarify this with their chosen trade.
Which quote should I pick?
There are a number of factors that may determine your choice. Price and availability are obviously key but we recommend that you take a look at the Review feature to see how other customers have got on with the trade or business you are considering. Ask around. Even in our modern world, word-of-mouth remains important when considering using any trade or business.
How do I accept a quote?
Once you have decided on any quote sent through to you, simply arrange to make contact with the trade or business concerned using the contact details they will have provided in the quote.
It really is that simple. You will then be able to confirm the details of the work and arrange a date for the work to commence directly with your chosen trade or business. Don’t forget to establish exactly what offer you have received and whether you are looking at a fixed price quote, estimate or something else.
What happens if I don’t receive a quote?
Please be patient. Many of the trades and businesses we feature are very busy and it may well take several days for your request to be considered carefully and for an accurate quote to be provided. The trade or business concerned may be pricing-up several jobs or working on a current project. If you have not received a quote within 7 days of submitting your request, please contact us and we’ll do our best to help.
Is there a charge for using the service?
No. Jersey Quote is completely free for our customers to use. Any trade or business that decides to quote on any work available is charged a small fee.
Can I submit a quote for more than 1 job?
Yes. You can submit as many requests for a quote as you like.
What happens if the trade or businesses doesn’t have any reviews?
Don’t let that stop you from giving them a try. They may be newly registered with us and yet to secure a job through our site. Once you have received a quote, contact the trade or business directly and discuss any concerns you may have.
What if I am not satisfied with the work or service provided?
As with any dispute, it is best to highlight your concerns to the trade or business involved in the first instance and discuss your dissatisfaction with them directly in order to progress to an amicable solution. We firmly believe that there is very little that cannot be resolved, providing the lines of communication are left open and both parties are clear and transparent with their expectations. As a last resort, you can of course leave details of any poor experience you have had with any particular trade or business by leaving a negative review for the trade or business concerned.
